Job Description
The Calm Home Company · Northeast Ohio (Cleveland / Akron / Canton) ·
Remote to start, then in-home
The Calm Home Company helps people reclaim their homes and move forward — through professional organizing, downsizing, senior moves, estate and home-sale cleanouts, and ongoing organizing memberships. Our ethos is simple: Compassion first. Progress second. Judgement never.
We're looking for a warm, persistent salesperson to grow with us. You'll start part-time from home following up with leads, learn our sales process, work our booth at the Cleveland home and garden show at the I-X Center, and then move into running in-home consultations and closing clients alongside our team. You'll also manage our referral partner relationships — attorneys, realtors, senior living communities, and more. You'll be pivotal to the next stage of our growth, and we expect this role to grow into a full-time position by February 2027. This role pays an hourly wage plus commission on the clients you book and close.
What you'll do
The role grows in three phases, and you'll help build the business along the way.
Phase 1 — Remote follow-up (now, about 10–15 hours/week)
Phase 2 — Cleveland Home + Garden Show at the I-X Center (in person)
Phase 3 — In-home consultations and closing
Ongoing — partner account management
Throughout — help build how we sell
Who you are
This role isn't for you if you're pushy, insincere, or lean on slick, high-pressure sales tactics. We want salespeople who are compassionate, non-judgmental, patient, and friendly — people our clients trust the moment you walk through their door.
Nice to have: experience with professional organizing, senior moves, real estate, or home services; a network of realtors, senior living, or estate professionals.
Pay and schedule
Details
Hourly pay
$16/hour for follow-up calls, partner account management, admin, training, show hours, and consultations
Commission
8% of collected revenue from each client you close, for their first 90 days (projects, cleanouts, sales, and memberships)
When paid
Hourly every pay period; commission monthly, once the client has paid
Hours
Part-time, about 10–15 hours/week to start, growing to full time by February 2027; flexible, mostly daytime and early evening
Location
Remote for follow-ups and partner outreach; in person at the I-X Center for the show; in clients' homes after that
Show dates
January 27 – February 7, 2027 — in-person attendance required
Training
Hands-on training on our sales process and services, provided by the owners — in person in Cleveland Heights or remote, your choice
Growth
High opportunity for advancement — you'll be pivotal to our next stage of growth, with a clear path into a full-time sales or partnerships leadership role
Example: close a client on a 3-day project at $1,800 per day, and you earn about $430 in commission on top of your hourly pay.
